Dental Nurse / Chairside Assistant

Job Title: Dental Nurse / Chairside Dental Assistant
Department: Clinical
Reports to: Dentist / Practice Manager

Job Summary:
The Dental Nurse assists the dentist at chairside during all routine and advanced procedures, ensures strict infection‑control standards, and supports smooth patient flow in the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and set up the treatment room, ensuring all instruments, materials, and equipment are ready and sterile.
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, mixing materials (e.g., cements, impression material), and using suction and retractors as needed.
- Maintain a sterile and protected environment by following infection‑control and health‑safety protocols, including sterilization and proper disposal of sharps and waste.
- Help with patient positioning, reassurance, and basic pre‑ and post‑operative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Record and update patient notes and treatment details accurately in the dental software under the dentist’s guidance.
- Perform stock control, order clinical supplies,



and report equipment faults to the practice manager.
- Assist with extra‑oral duties (e.g., greeting patients, basic front‑desk support) when required, depending on clinic workflow.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Completion of a recognized Dental Nursing / Dental Assistant course (or equivalent experience).
- Basic knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and dental materials.
- Good communication skills and empathy with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under chairside pressure.

Pay: ₹7,500.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
