About the Role

AccuPride Accounting LLP is looking for a US Bookkeeping & Tax Associate with 1–2 years of practical experience in US Bookkeeping and/or US Taxation.

The role involves maintaining accurate books for US businesses, performing reconciliations and cleanup work, and preparing or assisting with US individual and business tax returns.

This is an internal, on-site position. No direct communication with US clients is required.

US Bookkeeping Responsibilities

- Maintain books in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Record income, expenses, bills, invoices, and journal entries
- Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
- Review and categorize transactions accurately
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
- Handle basic Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R)
- Perform bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up assignments
- Review previous-year books and maintain accurate opening balances
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing
- Maintain proper bookkeeping documentation and workpapers

US Taxation Responsibilities

- Prepare and assist with US Individual and Business Tax Returns
- Work with forms including 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, 1041, 990, 5472, and related schedules
- Review prior-year tax returns and carry forward information accurately
- Prepare tax workpapers and supporting schedules
- Review income, expenses, deductions, credits, and other tax information
- Assist with extensions, amendments, tax notices, and other tax-related assignments




- Ensure tax return information is accurate and complete
- Meet tax season and internal filing deadlines

Required Skills – US Bookkeeping

- 1–2 years of practical experience in US Bookkeeping
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and reconciliation procedures
- Good understanding of financial statements
- Experience with bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up work
- Positive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Required Skills – US Taxation

- Practical experience preparing or assisting with US Tax Returns
- Knowledge of US Individual and Business Tax Returns
- Familiarity with Drake Tax, Intuit ProConnect, and MyTAXPrepOffice (MTPO)
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tax software
- Basic understanding of US tax forms and tax concepts

- Ability to work independently and follow established processes
- Willingness to learn new software, processes, and US accounting/tax requirements

Experience

- 1–2 years of relevant experience in US Bookkeeping and/or US Taxation
- Candidates with practical experience in both US Bookkeeping and US Taxation will be preferred.
- Freshers are not eligible.
