We are looking for an experienced CNC Oxy-Fuel / Flame Cutting Machine Operator to operate our Messer CNC flame cutting machine, capable of cutting materials up to 300 mm thickness.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in oxy-fuel/flame cutting, understand the requirements of cutting different material thicknesses, and be able to correctly adjust the flame and cutting parameters to achieve accurate, clean cuts.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor the Messer CNC Oxy-Fuel / Flame Cutting Machine safely and efficiently.
- Perform flame cutting of plates with thicknesses ranging up to 300 mm.
- Select and install the appropriate cutting torch/nozzle for the material and thickness.
- Adjust oxygen and fuel gas pressure according to the material thickness and cutting requirements.
- Correctly adjust the preheating flame and cutting flame to achieve proper and consistent cutting.
- Set appropriate cutting speed, preheat time, oxygen pressure, and other cutting parameters.
- Monitor the cutting process and make adjustments when required.
- Inspect cut parts for quality, including cut accuracy, kerf, slag/dross, bevel, and surface condition.
- Identify and correct common flame-cutting problems such as excessive slag, incomplete cutting, excessive bevel, overheating, or poor edge quality.
- Follow CNC programs and ensure the correct plate, material grade, thickness, and cutting profile are used.
- Perform basic machine setup, torch alignment, nozzle cleaning,



and routine operator-level maintenance.
- Follow all required gas-cutting and workplace safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the production and programming teams to ensure jobs are completed according to specifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proven hands-on experience operating CNC oxy-fuel/flame cutting machines.
- Good practical knowledge of flame cutting of mild steel plates.
- Experience cutting heavy plates, preferably up to 300 mm thickness.
- Strong understanding of how to adjust the flame according to material thickness.
- Knowledge of oxygen and fuel gas pressure settings and their effect on cutting quality.
- Ability to select the correct cutting nozzle/tip according to plate thickness.
- Ability to adjust cutting speed, preheating, and oxygen pressure based on cutting conditions.
- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings and dimensions.
- Positive understanding of CNC machine operation and cutting programs.
- Ability to identify cutting defects and make appropriate adjustments.

Key Requirement

The candidate must have strong practical experience in flame cutting and should be able to independently adjust the flame, gas pressures, nozzle, preheating, and cutting parameters according to the thickness of the material.

Experience with heavy plate cutting up to 300 mm will be highly preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
