Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented VMC (Vertical Machining Center) / HMC (Horizontal Machining Center) Operator & Setter to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machinery to manufacture high-precision components according to engineering drawings.

Job Details

- Job Title: VMC / HMC Operator & Setter
- Employment Type: Full time
- Location: [Sulur/Coimbatore]
- Shift: Rotational Shifts (Day / Night)
- Experience: 1 – 10 Years (Freshers with ITI / Diploma can apply for Trainee roles)
- Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 / month (Commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities

- Machine Setup & Operation: Mount fixtures, load raw material, set up workpieces, and execute machining cycles on VMC/HMC machines.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: ITI (Machinist / Turner / Fitter) or Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 1–10 years operating/setting VMC or HMC machines.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and work-holding fixtures.
- Familiarity with multi-axis machines or HMC pallet changers is a big plus.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Offsets & Tooling: Set work coordinate offsets ($G54–G59$), set tool length/radius offsets,



and change worn-out cutting inserts/tools.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T; symbols to ensure components meet required dimensions.
- Quality Inspection: Perform first-piece and in-process quality checks using precision instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Controller Knowledge: Operate and make minor program edits (G-code / M-code) on controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or Mitsubishi.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform daily preventive maintenance, check coolant/lubrication levels, and maintain 5S workplace cleanliness.
