Job Title: Chartered Accountant (CA) - Pharmaceutical / Trading Industry

Location: [Karol Bagh, New Delhi]

Position Type: [Full-Time]

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong background in the pharmaceutical or trading industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial functions of the company, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and contributing to the overall financial strategy. This position requires extensive knowledge of industry-specific accounting regulations, financial reporting, cost analysis, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with relevant financial standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Ensure timely submission of financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory filings.
- Conduct internal audits and oversee external audit processes.
- Manage VAT, GST, and other indirect taxes relevant to the pharmaceutical or trading industry.
- Stay updated with the latest tax laws, accounting regulations, and industry-specific financial standards.
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Provide accurate financial forecasting and budgeting support.
- Perform variance analysis to identify and explain deviations from the budget.
- Assist in strategic decision-making by preparing detailed financial analysis reports.
- Evaluate and manage cost-control measures to improve profitability, focusing on areas such as inventory management, distribution costs, and R&D; expenses (in case of the pharmaceutical industry).
- Costing and Inventory Management (Pharmaceutical / Trading):
- Develop and monitor effective costing methods for pharmaceutical products or trading activities.




- Ensure accurate valuation of inventories, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Analyze inventory turnover rates and support effective stock management strategies.
- Oversee transfer pricing and ensure compliance with international pricing guidelines (especially for trading).
- Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Oversee cash flow management and ensure sufficient liquidity for day-to-day operations.
- Manage short-term and long-term financial forecasting to ensure business continuity.
- Monitor the working capital cycle, including receivables, payables, and inventory.
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with national and international regulations related to accounting and finance.
- Assess and manage financial risks, including currency fluctuations, interest rates, and industry-specific regulatory risks.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks, such as pricing pressures in the pharmaceutical market or volatility in commodity trading.
- Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
- Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Suggest process improvements to optimize financial operations and improve business efficiencies.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the finance team,



providing guidance on technical accounting matters and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments such as sales, procurement, and operations to ensure financial goals align with the overall business strategy.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and board presentations.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- Minimum of [5] years of experience in the pharmaceutical or trading industry.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and industry-specific regulations.
- Robust understanding of costing methodologies, inventory management, and taxation in the pharmaceutical/trading industry.
- Proven experience in managing audits, financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.).
- Proficient in Excel and other financial tools for analysis and reporting.

Key Skills:

- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
- Excellent understanding of financial management and cost accounting in pharmaceutical/trading sectors.
- Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of local and international tax laws applicable to the pharmaceutical or trading industry.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for reporting to senior management.

Desirable:

- Experience in a global or multi-national pharmaceutical or trading company.
- Exposure to regulatory bodies and compliance frameworks in the pharmaceutical or trading sectors.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing and international tax planning.
