Experience

10+ years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance, with strong hands-on expertise in both Manual and Automation Testing.

Proven experience working as a QA Lead / Senior QA Engineer, independently owning testing activities for complex enterprise applications.

Strong hands-on automation experience using Cypress and/or Playwright.

Key Responsibilities

Independently understand business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria and translate them into an effective QA strategy.

Work directly with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, architects, and project managers to clarify requirements and identify potential gaps early in the lifecycle.

Take complete ownership of QA activities from requirement analysis through production release.

Define and implement test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data for functional and non-functional requirements.

Perform and lead functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks using Cypress or Playwright.

Identify suitable test cases for automation and continuously improve the automation coverage and regression suite.





Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines and enable automated execution as part of the deployment process.

Analyze automated test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with development teams for timely resolution.

Perform API testing using tools/frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API testing, or equivalent.

Validate backend data and perform database testing using SQL where required.

Lead defect management activities including defect identification, prioritization, triage, tracking, retesting, and closure.

Provide transparent visibility into test execution status, defect trends, quality risks, release readiness, and testing metrics to business and project stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

Strong expertise in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.

Advanced hands-on experience with Cypress and/or Playwright.

Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.

Experience with source-control tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

Experience integrating test automation with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.

Experience with test and defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC/STLC).
