Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced RMC Plant Operations Head to take overall responsibility for the efficient and profitable operation of multiple RMC plants. The candidate will manage plant operations, production, plant maintenance coordination, quality, logistics, manpower, cost control and customer service, while working closely with the Sales & Commercial teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities1. Multi-Plant Operations

- Overall responsibility for day-to-day operations of multiple RMC plants.
- Ensure plants achieve production, productivity, utilization and delivery targets.
- Monitor plant-wise performance and identify operational gaps.
- Standardize operating procedures and best practices across all plants.
- Ensure uninterrupted production and timely dispatch as per customer requirements.
- Optimize plant capacity utilization and minimize operational downtime.

2. Production & Planning

- Prepare and monitor daily/weekly/monthly production plans in coordination with Sales.
- Ensure availability of cement, aggregates, sand, admixtures and other raw materials.
- Monitor batch-wise production, material consumption and wastage.
- Improve productivity and control production costs.
- Coordinate batching, transit mixer and pumping requirements.

3. Plant Maintenance Coordination

- Take overall responsibility for maintenance coordination across all 4–6 RMC plants.
- Ensure implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for batching plants, transit mixers, pumps, generators, compressors, conveyors and other critical equipment.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Managers/Engineers for timely resolution of breakdowns and equipment failures.




- Monitor plant downtime and ensure minimum disruption to production.
- Review plant-wise maintenance schedules, breakdown reports and recurring equipment issues.
- Ensure availability of critical spares, consumables and maintenance materials.
- Coordinate with external vendors, AMC agencies and equipment manufacturers whenever required.
- Monitor maintenance expenditure and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure proper maintenance records, equipment history and preventive maintenance documentation.
- Coordinate major overhauls, plant shutdowns, equipment replacement and modification projects.
- Identify recurring breakdowns and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper calibration and functioning of weighing, batching and related plant equipment.
- Work with Procurement/Stores teams to ensure timely availability of critical spares.
- Establish and monitor Plant Uptime / Equipment Availability KPIs.

4. Sales Coordination & Customer Service

- Work closely with the Sales Team to understand customer requirements, project schedules and concrete demand.
- Coordinate production and dispatch planning based on confirmed orders.
- Ensure operational feasibility before committing large or time-sensitive orders.
- Support Sales in handling customer complaints related to supply, quality, delays and service.
- Participate in key customer/project meetings when required.
- Ensure strong coordination between Sales, Plant, Quality, Dispatch and Accounts teams.

5. Quality Control

- Ensure compliance with relevant IS standards, company specifications and customer requirements.




- Coordinate with Quality Control teams for mix designs, testing and quality monitoring.
- Minimize rejection, customer complaints and concrete-related failures.
- Ensure proper calibration of batching and testing equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement in concrete quality and consistency.

6. Logistics & Dispatch

- Optimize deployment of transit mixers, pumps and transportation resources.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of concrete to project sites.
- Monitor vehicle turnaround time and fleet utilization.
- Resolve dispatch and delivery bottlenecks in coordination with Sales and Site teams.

7. Cost & Commercial Control

- Monitor plant-wise operating costs and profitability.
- Control material wastage, diesel consumption, manpower and maintenance expenses.
- Track production and maintenance cost per cubic metre.
- Monitor repair and maintenance expenditure across plants.
- Support management in budgeting and operational planning.

8. Manpower & Team Management

- Lead Plant Managers, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Dispatch and other operational teams.
- Set KPIs and performance targets for plant teams.
- Develop and train plant-level leadership.
- Ensure adequate manpower deployment across all plants.
- Build a culture of accountability, safety, discipline and customer service.

9. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox meetings.
- Ensure secure operation and maintenance of plants, vehicles, pumps and equipment.
- Maintain environmental and operational compliance at all locations.
