Perform Risk assessments on existing and new machinery using standards like ISO 12100, identifying mechanical, electrical, and ergonomic hazards.
Should posses strong knowledge on Mitigation plan and concept solution meeting global standards
Determining required Performance Level (PLr) for every safety function based on the severity and frequency of identified risks.




Conduct deep-dive audits of legacy panels to identify safety gaps and propose machinery safety solutions
Lead the end-to-end electrical upgrade of legacy machinery, replacing outdated wiring with modern, redundant Safety Control Circuits (Category 3/4, PLd/e)
Should posses hand-on experience in wide variety of Control & Automation products and its programming
Ability to select and configure advanced safety hardware, including Safety PLCs, Safety Controllers, fail-safe I/O modules, safety relays, and non-contact interlocks.
Design and implement enhanced Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) points, including automated pneumatic/hydraulic exhaust valves and electrical disconnects.
Design and integration of Electro-sensitive protective devices (light curtains, laser scanners) and pressure-sensitive mats into existing or new safety control logic on machines.
Develop and document fail-safe logic within Safety PLCs/ Controllers to ensure the machine enters a "Protected State" during any detected fault of safety devices and components.
Knowledge on rigorous testing of safety functions (e.g., stopping distance measurements and faults) to verify that circuits perform exactly as designed during a failure.
Expertise with Validation & Verification (V&V;) on post machinery safety upgrade or on existing machines.
Oversee the global Risk Assessment portfolio, ensuring high-risk assets are prioritized for Mitigation Concept development and gap-closure
Expert knowledge in bridging findings with scalable engineering solutions-from physical guarding to complex Safety PLC logic
Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE/ CFSE) preferred.
Prior exposure to global or international projects would be an advantage
Lead million dollar projects to modernize legacy equipment, transitioning global assets as per global standards
Proficiency in handling large-scale projects with a focus on Timeline, Budget, and Technical Validation.
