POSITION SUMMARY

The Security Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of security personnel, gate operations, and overall physical security of the factory/site premises, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, materials, and assets. The role requires strong discipline, vigilance, and the ability to enforce security protocols firmly and professionally. Candidates with an ex-Army or paramilitary background are preferred for their discipline, leadership under pressure, and familiarity with structured security operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of security guards across shifts, including duty allocation, roll call, and shift handover.
- Monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles; ensure gate registers, visitor passes, and material gate-pass procedures are strictly followed.
- Conduct regular rounds/patrols of the factory floor, warehouse, boundary wall, and critical installations to check for security lapses or hazards.
- Ensure CCTV systems, access control points, and fire/security equipment are functional; report faults immediately for repair.
- Enforce company rules on ID cards, restricted-area access, no-smoking zones, and prohibited items (weapons, alcohol, unauthorised cameras, etc.).
- Prevent theft, pilferage, and unauthorised removal of company material, tools, or documents; conduct checks on outgoing vehicles/personnel as per SOP.
- Maintain security logbooks, incident reports, and daily situation reports; escalate any security breach, accident, or suspicious activity to the Admin/HR Manager without delay.
- Coordinate with local police, fire department, and statutory authorities as required, and support management during emergencies, strikes, or law-and-order situations.
- Supervise deployment of security personnel for VIP visits, company events,



and MD/senior management movement.
- Train, brief, and discipline security staff on protocols, grooming, punctuality, and conduct; recommend action for lapses.
- Assist HR/Admin in verifying attendance of outsourced security agency personnel and reviewing agency performance/billing.
- Support fire safety drills, evacuation procedures, and general workplace safety compliance.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Ex-Army / Ex-Paramilitary (BSF, CISF, CRPF, etc.) personnel strongly preferred; retired JCOs/NCOs or equivalent rank will be given preference.
- Minimum 10th/12th pass; graduates will be preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial/factory security supervision, of which prior service tenure is an added advantage.
- Sound physical fitness, disciplined bearing, and ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights and holidays.
- Strong command over subordinate staff, with the ability to enforce rules firmly yet professionally.
- Basic literacy in maintaining registers/reports; familiarity with CCTV and access-control systems is an advantage.
- Good communication skills in Bengali/Hindi; working knowledge of English preferred.
- Clean disciplinary record and verifiable service/employment history.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Pay: ₹9,797.01 - ₹24,565.00 per month
