Key Responsibilities

* Lead and oversee the overall academic functioning of the Interior Design department

* Plan, review, and improve curriculum, course plans, projects, assignments, and assessments

* Manage, mentor, and monitor Interior Design faculty members

* Ensure effective syllabus delivery and maintain academic standards

* Guide students in design projects, portfolios, internships, competitions, and career development

* Conduct and coordinate juries, presentations, workshops, site visits, guest lectures, and design reviews

* Develop strong industry connections with Interior Design firms, architects, consultants, brands, and professionals

* Facilitate live projects, internships, industry interactions, and practical learning opportunities

* Monitor student performance, attendance, submissions, and overall academic progress

* Support faculty recruitment, training, departmental planning, and academic documentation

* Contribute to the growth of the department through new courses, workshops, events, and industry-oriented initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field

* 5–8+ years of relevant professional experience in Interior Design/Architecture

* Prior experience in teaching, academic coordination, or departmental leadership will be preferred

* Strong knowledge of space planning, materials & finishes, furniture, lighting,



working drawings, detailing, and construction

* Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, etc.

* Strong communication, presentation, leadership, and mentoring skills

* Ability to manage faculty, students, academic projects, and multiple responsibilities effectively

* Good understanding of current Interior Design trends, technologies, and industry practices
