We are looking for a skilled and responsible Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality, safety, and patient-care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, receive, label, and process blood, urine, and other clinical samples.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests as per department requirements.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and laboratory materials as required.
- Ensure accurate testing, documentation, and timely reporting of results.
- Follow proper sample handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
- Maintain laboratory records, registers, and reports.
- Follow infection-control, biomedical waste management, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Perform quality-control checks and report discrepancies or abnormal findings to the concerned senior/doctor.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of the laboratory.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other hospital departments regarding investigations and reports.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- DMLT / B.Sc. MLT / B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Valid registration/certification as applicable.
- Relevant hospital or diagnostic laboratory experience preferred.
Skills Required
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
- Good sample collection and handling skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer and laboratory information system (LIS) knowledge.
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple samples efficiently.
Experience
1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
