Mother Teacher

Job Summary
Bharathidhasanar Group of Schools is looking for a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Mother Teacher to support the overall academic, emotional, and social development of young learners. The candidate should create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment while working closely with students and parents.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle the assigned primary/elementary class as a Mother Teacher.
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate lessons and classroom activities.
- Teach basic concepts in languages, Mathematics, EVS, and other subjects as per the curriculum.
- Develop students' reading, writing, communication, social, and life skills.
- Monitor students' academic progress, behaviour, attendance, and overall development.
- Provide individual attention and additional support to students who need assistance.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a protected, clean, and child-friendly environment.
- Use activity-based learning, storytelling, games, smart classroom resources, and creative teaching methods.
- Maintain student records, lesson plans, assessment records, and progress reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic performance and development.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, celebrations, and co-curricular activities.
- Coordinate with subject teachers,



coordinators, and the academic team.
- Encourage good manners, personal hygiene, discipline, confidence, and positive behaviour among students.

Eligibility & Skills

- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Education or relevant subject.
- B.Ed./D.El.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification preferred/required as applicable.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Caring and patient approach towards young children.
- Strong classroom-management skills.
- Knowledge of activity-based and child-centred teaching methods.
- Basic knowledge of smart classroom and digital teaching tools.
- Preference will be given to Tamil Nadu candidates.
