Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled BMC Discovery Engineer with hands-on experience in BMC
Discovery and exposure to the BMC Infrastructure Management suite, including TSOM,
TSSA, and TSNA. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, a good
understanding of BMC architectures, and experience in administration, monitoring,
reporting, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

BMC Discovery

Understand and support BMC Discovery architecture and components.
Troubleshoot Discovery appliance issues and failed scan jobs.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Discovery scans.
Create and maintain Service Models.
Generate reports and dashboards as per business requirements.
Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure accurate discovery and CMDB population.

BMC TrueSight Operations Management (TSOM)

Understand TSOM architecture and monitoring framework.
Configure and manage Monitoring Policies.
Troubleshoot PATROL Agent-related issues.
Support monitoring in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
Generate reports using Smart Reporting.
Work with Entuity integration and monitoring where applicable.

BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA)

Understand TSSA architecture and administration.
Perform Patch Management activities.
Create, schedule, and monitor automation jobs.
Troubleshoot RSCD Agent issues.
Develop and maintain basic automation scripts.




Generate operational reports using Smart Reporting.

BMC TrueSight Network Automation (TSNA)

Perform TSNA administration and reporting activities.
Troubleshoot failed network automation jobs.
Support day-to-day operational activities within the TSNA environment.
Required Skills
Good understanding of BMC Discovery Architecture.
Experience in troubleshooting Discovery scan failures and appliance-related issues.
Hands-on experience in Service Modelling.
Good understanding of TSOM architecture, Monitoring Policies, and PATROL Agent troubleshooting.
Knowledge of TSSA architecture, Patch Management, Job Creation, and RSCD Agent troubleshooting.
Experience with TSNA administration, reporting, and job troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Smart Reporting.
Understanding of Entuity monitoring tool.
Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Batch, PowerShell, or similar).
Basic administration knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of ITIL processes.
Experience with BMC Helix Suite and CMDB integrations.
Exposure to enterprise monitoring and automation environments.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team workplace
