Incoming Quality Control Inspector

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and parts as per drawings and specifications.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections where applicable.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Screw Gauge, Gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Verify material certificates, supplier documents, and inspection reports.
- Identify, record, and segregate non-conforming materials.
- Prepare and maintain incoming inspection reports and quality records.
- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Production, and Suppliers regarding quality issues.
- Follow up on rejected materials and supplier corrective actions.
- Conduct sampling inspection as per defined inspection standards.
- Ensure measuring instruments are properly handled and calibrated.
- Maintain proper identification and traceability of inspected materials.
- Follow company quality procedures, 5S, and safety requirements.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or related discipline.

Experience





- 1–5 years of experience in Incoming/Inward Quality Inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or precision engineering industry.

Required Skills

- Valuable knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Hands-on experience with Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Screw Gauge, and gauges.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and basic quality control.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify and handle non-conforming materials.
