Job Summary
He / She will be responsible for complete shop-floor operations including production planning, manpower management, machine utilization, quality control, and dispatch coordination. The role requires strong technical understanding of hydraulic press–based manufacturing, hands-on workforce supervision, and analytical ability to track productivity, yield, and rejection.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Process Control
1. Plan daily production targets based on order requirements and machine capacity.
2. Monitor hydraulic press operations, cycle time, mold performance, and output per shift.
3. Ensure smooth flow from raw leaf preparation → pressing → trimming → packing.
4. Calculate daily production efficiency, machine utilization, and rejection percentage.
5. Prepare shift-wise and daily MIS reports.
Manpower Management
1. Handle shop-floor manpower including operators, helpers, packing staff, and warehouse team.
2. Allocate workers based on workload and skill level.
3. Manage attendance, shift planning, absenteeism,



and productivity.
4. Train workers on SOPs, quality standards, and safety practices.
5. Maintain discipline and motivation among factory staff.
Quality Assurance
1. Ensure plates meet quality standards (shape, thickness, finish, moisture level).
2. Control rejection and wastage through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
3. Implement in-process quality checks.
Material & Inventory Control
1. Monitor inward areca leaf quality and grading.
2. Track raw material consumption vs finished output.
3. Maintain finished goods inventory and packing accuracy.
Maintenance Coordination
1. Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of hydraulic presses and molds.
2. Identify machine issues and work closely with maintenance team for resolution.
Dispatch & Warehouse
1. Supervise packing, labeling, and dispatch as per order specifications.
2. Coordinate container loading / logistics planning when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Diploma / BE in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering preferred.
2. Minimum 1-3 years experience in manufacturing (molding / FMCG / biodegradable products preferred).
3. Strong knowledge of shop-floor operations and hydraulic press machines.
4.



Excellent manpower handling capability.
5. Good mathematical skills for production calculation, yield, rejection %, and planning.
6. Must speak Kannada fluently.
7. Technically sound with practical problem-solving ability.
8. Comfortable working on shop floor.
