QUALITY INSPECTOR

Job Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming raw materials such as MS, SS, pipes, sheets, plates, angles, channels, beams and round bars.
- Check material grade, thickness, dimensions and quantity as per drawings, purchase orders and specifications.
- Perform in-process and final inspection of fabricated and machined components.
- Check fabrication quality including welding, cutting, bending, alignment, dimensions and finishing.
- Inspect weld joints for visual defects, cracks, porosity, undercut, improper welding and other abnormalities.
- Check component dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Measuring Tape, Height Gauge and other inspection tools.
- Verify finished products as per engineering drawings, tolerances and customer requirements.
- Identify and report rejected, defective or non-conforming material/products.
- Maintain inspection reports, rejection reports and quality records.
- Coordinate with Production,



Fabrication and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure corrective actions are taken for repeated quality problems.
- Follow company quality standards, safety rules and 5S practices.

Required Experience & Skills

- 3–5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in mechanical manufacturing/fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication and welding inspection.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances and basic GD&T;.
- Hands-on experience with measuring and inspection instruments.
- Good knowledge of MS/SS materials and fabrication processes.
- Positive observation, reporting and problem-solving skills.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Production / Fabrication or relevant technical qualification.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
