Job Summary

We are looking for a PDI Engineer to handle Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) of mechanical components, assemblies, and finished products. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring products meet required quality, dimensional, drawing, and customer specifications before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) of finished mechanical products and assemblies.
- Inspect components as per engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform dimensional inspection using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Check dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, fitment, welding, machining, and assembly quality.
- Verify products against customer specifications and approved drawings.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, PDI reports, check sheets, and quality documentation.
- Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented before final dispatch.
- Maintain inspection records and traceability documents.
- Support final inspection and customer inspection whenever required.
- Ensure products are properly inspected, packed, labelled, and ready for dispatch.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of mechanical drawings and GD&T;.




- Knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments.
- Understanding of tolerances, fits, surface finish, and inspection procedures.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 / Quality Management Systems.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to identify mechanical defects and quality deviations.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in PDI / Quality / Inspection in a mechanical manufacturing environment.

Candidates from automobile components, fabrication, machining, CNC/VMC, sheet metal, industrial equipment, heavy engineering, or mechanical manufacturing industries can be considered.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.94 per month
