We are India’s most loved brand in our segment. Our journey began from a 10X10 feet store, driven by the realization that there were very few options available to fulfill the fashion requirements of plus-size beauties. Often, they were greeted with the disheartening statement:

“INKA SIZE TOH YAHA NAHI MILEGA”

Starting from an Instagram page with an initial investment of INR 50,000, we have faced numerous challenges to enhance our skills and build a happy customer base. Today, we are a rapidly growing team of 70+ people, supported by a dedicated production team. We have a trusted customer base of 2.5 lakh women and a strong presence on all major social media platforms, with 500k followers on Instagram and 60K on Facebook.

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Fashion Designer with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience to support our Senior Fashion Designer in developing new collections and products.

The role will primarily focus on research, design development, sampling support, and creative execution, with an opportunity to learn and grow across the complete fashion design process.

Key Responsibilities

- Trend & Market Research: Research fashion trends, silhouettes, fabrics, colors, prints, and competitor offerings.
- Design Development: Assist the Senior Designer in developing recent styles, collections, and design variations.
- Sketching: Create hand sketches, fashion illustrations, and design references.
- Mood Boards:



Assist in developing mood boards, color stories, and collection concepts.
- Fabric & Material Research: Assist with identifying and selecting suitable fabrics, trims, embellishments, and other materials.
- Sampling Support: Coordinate with the Senior Designer during the sampling process and maintain sample records.
- Fit & Design Corrections: Assist during fittings, record feedback, and communicate design corrections as directed by the Senior Designer.
- Technical Support: Assist with measurement charts, design specifications, product lists, and basic costing.
- Design Documentation: Maintain organized records of designs, samples, fabrics, references, and approvals.
- Creative Contribution: Bring fresh ideas, references, and design inputs while working within the brand's aesthetic.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate with relevant internal teams and external sampling/vendor partners as required by the Senior Designer.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Fashion Designer, Junior Fashion Designer, or similar role.
- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design or a related field preferred.
- Good understanding of Indian ethnic wear, fabrics, silhouettes, and garment construction.
- Strong hand-sketching and basic fashion illustration skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator/CorelDRAW or similar software.
- Good understanding of garment fit,



particularly plus-size fit, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and creative thinking.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work closely with a Senior Designer and execute tasks within timelines.
- Proactive, organized, and willing to learn in a fast-paced fashion environment.

Role Growth

The Junior Fashion Designer will work closely with the Senior Fashion Designer and CEO/Design Head to progressively take greater ownership of design development and individual product concepts based on performance and capability.
