Looking for an experienced and academically strong PGT Computer Science Teacher to teach Senior Secondary students and contribute to the school's technology and computer science program.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Computer Science to Grades XI & XII as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Develop strong student understanding of:
- Python Programming
- Computer Networks
- Database Management Systems
- SQL
- Data Structures and problem-solving
- Boolean Logic
- Cyber Safety and related CBSE Computer Science topics
- Prepare students thoroughly for CBSE Board Examinations.
- Conduct regular class tests, assessments, practical examinations and revision sessions.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, question papers and academic resources.
- Maintain Computer Science laboratory records and practical files.
- Conduct programming and practical sessions in the computer laboratory.
- Analyse student performance and provide targeted support to students requiring improvement.
- Encourage students to develop logical thinking, computational thinking and independent problem-solving skills.
- Maintain accurate academic records including marks, assignments and student progress.
- Participate in PTMs, examinations, school events and academic meetings.
- Support coding, technology, AI, robotics or other computer-related student initiatives when required.
Qualification
Candidates should possess one of the following or an equivalent recognised qualification:
- M.Sc. Computer Science / Information Technology
- MCA
- M.Tech / M.E. in Computer Science / IT
- B.Tech / B.E. Computer Science / IT with appropriate postgraduate qualification
- B.Ed. preferred / required as applicable under CBSE norms
Experience
- Previous experience teaching CBSE Grades XI & XII Computer Science is strongly preferred.
- Strong command of Python and SQL is essential.
- Candidates with experience preparing students for CBSE Class XII Board Examinations will be given preference.
- Fresh candidates with exceptional subject knowledge and strong teaching ability may also be considered.
