Job Description – MEP Electrical Planning Engineer

Position: MEP Electrical Planning Engineer
Experience: 4+ Years
Location: Pune
CTC: Up to ₹45,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Electrical Planning Engineer to manage planning, scheduling, monitoring, and coordination of electrical activities for MEP projects. The candidate will ensure that project activities are planned and executed as per approved timelines, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed MEP electrical project schedules and execution plans.
- Plan electrical activities as per project milestones and overall MEP schedules.
- Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and scope of work for planning.
- Prepare activity-wise weekly and monthly plans.
- Monitor planned vs. actual progress and identify deviations.
- Coordinate with MEP, HVAC, plumbing, civil, design, procurement, and site teams.
- Track manpower, materials, equipment, and other resources required for electrical works.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely execution.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Monitor project milestones and highlight delays or potential bottlenecks.
- Develop recovery plans for delayed activities.
- Track material procurement and delivery against project requirements.
- Attend project coordination and progress review meetings.
- Maintain project trackers, schedules, and planning documentation.




- Coordinate electrical activities with other MEP services to avoid site conflicts.
- Support the project team in achieving timely and cost-effective project completion.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of MEP Electrical Planning & Scheduling.
- Positive understanding of electrical installation and execution activities.
- Experience in MEP coordination and project monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of MS Project / Primavera P6 will be preferred.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and BOQs.
- Good analytical, coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and meet strict project deadlines.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

4+ years of relevant experience in MEP Electrical Planning, preferably with an MEP contractor, EPC company, or building services organization.

Preferred Project Experience

Candidates with experience in commercial buildings, residential projects, hospitals, hotels, industrial projects, malls, or large-scale MEP projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
