Perform civil & structural design calculations and address the civil & structural design challenges for industry leading energy projects of all sizes and configurations. Keep abreast of industry codes, standards, regulations, and guidelines. Meet or exceed project expectations in a timely manner within the budget limits. Co-ordination with intra / inter disciplinary team and provide the required civil and deliverables to the required safety standards.

- Review and understand client specifications during proposal phase.
- Raise clarifications and deviations not in line with Company standards.
- Review topographical survey map, soil investigation reports and extraction of required design inputs if available.
- Prepare Technical Requisition of these studies during project execution.
- Follow up with Vendors.
- Create or review the civil and structural design basis and project specifications.
- Prepare the civil and structural MTOs during proposals and project execution.
- Proactively work to reduce structural weight as required when the project execution Not-To-Exceed weight is threatened.
- Support construction team in preparing technical bid analysis of construction companies.
- Advise and assist Construction Managers, QA/QC, and Subcontractors with the interpretation and clarification of construction documents.
- Prepare technical requisition and technical bid analysis for structural fabrication.
- Perform civil & structural analysis using SACS and STAAD software including Inplace, Loadout, Lift, Transportation, Blast, Fatigue, and Redundancy.
- Good knowledge of commercial engineering design programs such as MAT 3D and Foundation 3D.
- Perform calculations, design reports and inputs for drawings preparation.
- Perform or check “hand calculations” for structural connections, pad eyes, stiffeners,



and other “local” steel designs and also having knowledge in connection Softwares such as RAM connection, IDEA Statica.
- Define materials for civil and structural works.
- Define fireproofing when needed.
- Define painting and coating schemes for structural works.
- Perform Static & dynamic analysis for equipment foundation design.
- Play an integral role in determining and reporting project weight control data.
- This includes liaising with the Weight Control Engineer and various disciplines for weight and CoG input.
- Provide inputs to other disciplines during project execution.
- Participate in engineering meetings.
- Responsible to deliver civil & structural engineering documents as per project schedule.
- Provide engineering hours estimate during proposals for its discipline.
- Participate in 3D model interdisciplinary reviews and resolve the clashes in its discipline.
- Review, comment, and approve the outsourced civil & structural engineering design deliverables.
- Ensure most updated vendors’ documentation is being used for developing these deliverables.
- Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in its discipline in accordance to applicable codes and standards.
