Job Description

Sri Renuka Yellamma Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is looking for skilled and experienced Turning Operators to join our manufacturing team in Auto Nagar, Visakhapatnam.

The candidate will be responsible for operating turning machines, setting up jobs, selecting appropriate tools, reading engineering drawings, checking component dimensions, and maintaining required quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operate turning machines safely and efficiently.

Set up machines, tools, fixtures, and workpieces according to job requirements.

Read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Perform facing, turning, boring, threading, grooving, drilling, and related machining operations.

Select appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters.

Set tool offsets and perform basic machine adjustments.

Check component dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.

Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.

Identify machining defects and make necessary corrections.

Maintain required production output and component quality.

Follow production schedules and work instructions.

Maintain proper housekeeping and follow all safety procedures.

Report machine issues, tool wear, and production problems to the supervisor.

Maintain production and inspection records.

Required Skills





Hands-on experience in Turning Machine Operation.

Knowledge of turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving, and drilling operations.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.

Good knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.

Basic knowledge of CNC Turning will be an added advantage.

Ability to identify and correct common machining problems.

Good attention to detail and quality consciousness.

Ability to work in shifts if required.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Machinist, Fitter, or a related technical qualification preferred.

Relevant experience in machining/turning operations will be considered.

Experience

1–5 years of relevant experience in turning operations preferred.

Candidates with robust practical machining skills may be considered based on their technical knowledge and experience.

Preferred Candidate

Immediate joiners are highly preferred.

Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be given priority.

Candidates with hands-on experience in machine setup, tool setting, and component inspection are preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
