Content Strategist – Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly creative **Content Strategist** to join our digital marketing agency. The ideal candidate should have **a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working specifically with digital marketing / advertising agencies** and a robust understanding of how agency environments operate.

This role requires someone who can think strategically, communicate confidently with clients and internal teams, understand different industries, and develop content strategies that deliver measurable brand and business results.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute effective content strategies for multiple clients across different industries.

* Understand client objectives, target audiences, brand positioning, and marketing goals.

* Create and manage monthly content calendars for social media and digital platforms.

* Develop creative content ideas for **Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reels, Carousels, Stories, Campaigns, Blogs, and other digital channels**.

* Write strong **hooks, captions, headlines, CTAs, scripts, and campaign concepts**.

* Conduct competitor, industry, audience, and trend research to identify new content opportunities.

* Work closely with **clients, designers, video editors, social media managers, and performance marketing teams**.

* Participate in client discussions and clearly communicate content strategies, concepts, recommendations, and campaign ideas.





* Convert client requirements and business objectives into clear and creative content directions.

* Maintain consistency in brand voice, messaging, tone, and visual communication.

* Stay updated with **social media trends, platform algorithms, digital marketing trends, SEO, and emerging content formats**.

* Analyze content performance and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.

* Manage multiple client accounts and deliverables while meeting deadlines.

Must-Have Requirements

* **Minimum 3 years of experience in a Digital Marketing / Advertising / Creative Agency is mandatory.**

* Candidates with only in-house brand experience may not be suitable for this role.

* Excellent **verbal and written communication skills**.

* Strong client communication and presentation skills.

* Ability to confidently communicate with clients and understand their requirements.

* Strong strategic thinking, creativity, and storytelling ability.

* Proven experience handling **multiple clients and multiple industries simultaneously**.

* Strong knowledge of **Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, Branding, SEO, and Digital Marketing**.

* Ability to create content strategies based on business objectives, not just individual social media posts.





* Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other major digital platforms.

* Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with creative and marketing teams.

* Strong time management and project management skills.

Preferred Skills

* Experience working with **5+ client accounts** is an added advantage.

* Experience in developing complete social media strategies and campaigns.

* Knowledge of Canva and other content/creative tools.

* Familiarity with AI-powered content and marketing tools.

* Understanding of social media analytics and performance metrics.

* Experience presenting content strategies or campaign ideas to clients.
