Job Description – MEP Electrical Estimation Head

Position: MEP Electrical Estimation Head
Experience: 11+ Years
Location: Pune
CTC: Up to ₹75,000 per month

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced MEP Electrical Estimation Head to lead electrical estimation and costing activities for MEP projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, BOQs, rate analysis, tenders, and commercial proposals while coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end electrical estimation and costing for MEP projects.
- Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Prepare detailed BOQ, quantity take-off, and material estimates.
- Conduct rate analysis and prepare competitive project quotations.
- Prepare estimates for electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, cable tray, earthing, DG, fire alarm, ELV, and related systems.
- Review electrical drawings and identify scope, quantities, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, project, and commercial teams.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Compare vendor quotations and negotiate rates where required.
- Prepare tender submissions and commercial proposals within deadlines.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project costs.
- Review variations, additional works, and revised quantities.
- Maintain estimation databases, rate sheets,



and historical costing data.
- Guide and manage the estimation team and review their work.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates before submission.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of MEP Electrical Estimation & Costing.
- Excellent understanding of electrical BOQ and quantity take-off.
- Knowledge of electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Solid knowledge of rate analysis, tendering, and quotation preparation.
- Good vendor and subcontractor coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation-related software/tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders/projects and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and team-management skills.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Experience

11+ years of relevant experience in MEP Electrical Estimation, preferably with an MEP contractor, EPC company, or building services organization.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in commercial, residential, industrial, hospital, hotel, or large-scale MEP projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
