Network WAN Specialist

Role Description & Responsibilities

- Own the SD-WAN operations across APAC and be part of the global tech team to derive the right strategy for its evolution.
- Own the implementation of WAN backbone project globally
- Troubleshoot and fix any routing issues over WAN/Internet
- Work on complex BGP routing design and make sure that optimum routing path is achieved globally
- Work closely with different ISPs across APAC to understand different WAN/Internet solutions they provide and choose the best suited one which goes hand in hand with the 3DS global WAN strategy.
- Work with global WAN technical team to derive the optimum global routing design while taking into consideration of all the aspects of country/geo specific routing requirements
- Work on WAN related support tickets raised across APAC by sticking to the defined pool SLA
- Own the WAN/Internet design of all APAC data centers/branch offices and make sure that the routing is performed as per the design

Qualifications

- B. Tech / B.E (CS / IT / E&TC;) from premier institutions with good academic track records.
- Overall Industry experience of 10 years in network routing domain.
- Hands on Experience on SD-WAN implementations in corporate networks
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience on FortiGate SD-WAN solution in a multinational corporate network
- Good understanding of SD-WAN rules and QoS




- 4-5 years of hands-on experience on in complex BGP implementations at the ISP level or on a network spanning across different countries
- Hands on experience in Cisco ASR/8000 series routers, Nexus 9000 series of switches etc.
- Understanding of Submarine cable systems and their geographical aspects
- Experience in Arista switching/routing devices will be added advantage
- Basic understanding of Git, Python, rest API etc.
- Experience in working in an international team
- Experience on an SLA oriented ticketing tool
- Robust Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex routing issues.
- Adaptability, ability to learn quicker, independent, responsible and diligent.
- Good team spirit and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills and analytical skills
- Achieves performance goals and objectives in line with the team strategy
