- Teaching: Prepare and deliver lectures, create course materials (syllabi, notes, assignments), and manage a classroom or lab environment.
- Student Assessment: Develop and administer exams, quizzes, and practicals; evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and guide students on areas for improvement.
- Research: Conduct original research, possibly publishing findings in academic journals or books.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor students, guide them through practical applications of their studies, assist with career advice, and help develop their skills and knowledge.
- Curriculum Development: Stay updated on the latest research and trends in home science to update course content and teaching strategies.
- Administration: Maintain student records, manage administrative duties related to their courses, and participate in faculty meetings and other institutional activities.
