Job Title: Carrier Relationship Manager (CRM) – US Transportation & Drayage

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Carrier Relationship Manager (CRM) to join our US transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with carriers, negotiating competitive rates, sourcing capacity, and ensuring seamless execution of shipments. The candidate should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, have strong knowledge of the US trucking and drayage market, and be capable of securing the best available capacity while maintaining service quality.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain robust relationships with carriers and owner-operators across the US.

Source reliable carriers for drayage and over-the-road (OTR) shipments.

Negotiate competitive freight rates while maintaining service quality.

Analyze market conditions and secure the best possible pricing based on current market trends.

Maintain a strong carrier network and continuously onboard qualified carriers.

Coordinate with dispatch, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.

Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve operational issues.

Build long-term partnerships with carriers through professional communication and relationship management.

Maintain an updated carrier database, including compliance and performance records.

Ensure carriers meet insurance, safety, and operational requirements.

Handle capacity challenges and secure trucks during peak market conditions.

Stay updated on fuel prices, market trends, equipment availability, and regional capacity.





Assist in rate forecasting and market analysis to support pricing decisions.

Negotiate accessorial charges such as detention, chassis split, storage, pre-pull, layover, and driver assist when required.

Requirements

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in US Transportation, Freight Brokerage, Carrier Sales, or Carrier Relationship Management.

Strong understanding of the US trucking and drayage industry.

Experience working with:

Import & Export Drayage

Port Operations

Dry Van

Intermodal Transportation

Excellent understanding of freight market trends and lane pricing.

Ability to source capacity quickly and efficiently.

Experience negotiating with trucking companies, dispatchers, and owner-operators.

Familiarity with US ports, terminals, chassis providers, and rail ramps is preferred.

Required Skills

Solid verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build long-term carrier relationships.

Strong market knowledge and analytical thinking.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of:

Current US trucking market rates.

Regional freight pricing and seasonal market fluctuations.

Fuel surcharge (FSC) trends.

Drayage operations and port logistics.

Chassis usage and related accessorial charges.

Detention, demurrage, storage, pre-pull, layover, and other accessorial.

Transit times and service expectations across major US lanes.

Market capacity and carrier availability.

Performance Expectations

Build and maintain a reliable carrier network.

Secure competitive carrier rates while ensuring quality service.

Improve carrier response time and capacity availability.

Maintain high carrier retention and satisfaction.

Reduce transportation costs through effective negotiations.

Ensure timely shipment execution with minimal service failures.

Continuously monitor market trends and recommend pricing strategies.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
