Job Summary:

Squad Health is looking for an experienced Prior Authorization Operations Manager to support our growing healthcare operations team.

This is a high-ownership role combining prescription prior authorization expertise, team leadership, training, quality management, recruiting, and process improvement. The ideal candidate has personally worked on prescription PAs and has experience leading teams, improving performance, and solving operational problems independently.

Responsibilities

- Train and onboard new Prior Authorization Specialists on end-to-end prescription PA workflows.
- Lead quality audits and monitor accuracy, productivity, turnaround times, follow-ups, and error trends.
- Support complex PAs, denials, resubmissions, appeals, and workflow escalations.
- Coach team members, identify performance gaps, and implement retraining or improvement plans.
- Recruit and screen offshore candidates for PA and other healthcare operations roles.
- Coordinate interviews, offer letters, onboarding, orientations, and hiring documentation.
- Create and improve SOPs, training materials, trackers, and operational workflows.
- Identify process gaps and implement practical solutions with company leadership.
- Use AI and automation tools to improve recruiting, documentation, training, reporting, research, and operational efficiency.





Requirements

- 5+ years of relevant US healthcare operations experience, including prior authorization, Benefits Investigation, speciality medications, payer’s team leadership.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of the end-to-end prescription PA process, including denials and appeals.
- Experience managing, coaching, auditing, or training PA teams.
- Experience monitoring team KPIs, quality, productivity, or error rates.
- Experience hiring, interviewing, or onboarding employees.
- Robust problem-solving, organization, and written/verbal English communication.
- Comfortable creating SOPs, reports, trackers, and process documentation.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in day-to-day work for research, documentation, process improvement, training, dashboards or similar responsibilities.

Preferred

- Specialty medication / biologics prior authorization experience.
- CoverMyMeds and EMR/EHR experience.
- Experience managing remote or offshore healthcare teams.
- Experience in a healthcare startup, specialty pharmacy, physician practice, or medication-access organization.

Pay: ₹95,000.00 - ₹115,000.00 per month
