- Manage complete day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
- Ensure pharmaceutical products are stored as per prescribed storage requirements.
- Maintain proper product-wise, batch-wise and expiry-wise stock records.
- Ensure proper segregation of:
- Saleable stock
- Damaged stock
- Expired stock
- Near-expiry stock
- Returned stock
- Rejected/non-saleable stock
- Maintain proper housekeeping, hygiene, pest control, security and safety standards.
- Ensure warehouse temperature and other required storage conditions are monitored and recorded.
Inventory Management
- Follow FEFO – First Expiry, First Out for pharmaceutical products.
- Monitor near-expiry and slow-moving inventory and submit regular reports to management.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages and excess stock.
- Monitor stock ageing and identify potential expiry losses.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Sales teams for inventory planning.
Inward & Stock Receipt
- Verify incoming materials/products against purchase orders, invoices and delivery documents.
- Check product name, quantity, batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date and packaging condition.
- Ensure proper documentation of inward stock.
- Coordinate with Quality/authorized personnel wherever required before products are released for sale.
- Ensure damaged or questionable products are properly segregated and reported
Logistics Management
- Coordinate with transporters, courier companies and logistics partners.
- Monitor shipment movement and delivery status.
- Follow up on delayed, lost, damaged or undelivered consignments.
- Control transportation costs and ensure cost-effective logistics arrangements.
- Coordinate reverse logistics for customer/distributor returns.
- Verify transporter bills against actual shipments and coordinate with Accounts
Expiry & Return Management
- Prepare monthly near-expiry and expiry stock reports.
- Coordinate with Sales/Management for liquidation or return of near-expiry products wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper records of expired and damaged products.
- Ensure expired/non-saleable products are clearly segregated and not accidentally dispatched.
- Process distributor/customer returns according to company SOPs.
- Maintain proper documentation for return, replacement and disposal activities.
