### **Job Summary**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Engineer with a strong background in mechanical components and import operations. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end procurement, foreign exchange/banking documentation, vendor development, and inventory management for Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) automation products.

### **Key Responsibilities**

#### **1. Import & Logistics Management**

* Handle end-to-end import operations for both **Air and Sea** shipments.

* Manage import documentation, custom clearance processes, and liaison with freight forwarders/CHA.

* Calculate standard landing costs for import shipments to ensure accurate pricing and budgeting.

#### **2. Banking, Forex & Regulatory Compliance**

* Oversee foreign exchange transactions and liaise with banking partners for import documentation.

* Monitor, track, and resolve queries on the **IDPMS** (Import Data Processing and Monitoring System) and **EDPMS** (Export Data Processing and Monitoring System) portals.

Sourcing & Vendor Development**

* Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for domestic and international sourcing.

* Conduct supplier visits and audits for domestic purchases to ensure quality, compliance, and competitive pricing.

* Technical procurement focus: Sourcing automation products used in SPM (Special Purpose Machines), including **actuator devices, LM guides, ball screws, and nuts**.

#### **4. Inventory & Cost Control**

* Monitor inventory levels to ensure seamless production without overstocking.

* Negotiate commercial terms, lead times, and pricing to optimize procurement costs.

* **Educational Background:** B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

* **Technical Domain Knowledge:** Deep understanding of SPM automation components (LM Guides, Ball Screws, Actuators, etc.).

* **Software Proficiency:**

* MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

* Internet operations & e-procurement portals

* **Key Competencies:** Strong negotiation skills, vendor management, analytical costing ability, and knowledge of import compliance.
