Job Summary:
Responsible for the installation, operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, mechanical, kitchen, HVAC, plumbing, and other engineering equipment used in a cafe, lounge, and commercial kitchen. The technician ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, exhaust systems, coffee machines, and cooking equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC-related problems.
- Carry out preventive and routine maintenance according to maintenance schedules.
- Inspect equipment regularly and identify potential faults before breakdowns occur.
- Maintain cafe, lounge, kitchen, storage, and back-of-house engineering systems.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and restore equipment operation quickly.
- Check electrical panels, switches, sockets, motors, pumps, lighting, and control systems.
- Monitor refrigeration and air-conditioning systems and coordinate specialist servicing when required.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance, repairs, spare parts, and equipment condition.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, hygiene, and fire-safety requirements.
- Coordinate with kitchen,



food & beverage, housekeeping, and management teams regarding maintenance requirements.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain adequate engineering tools, spare parts, and consumables.

Requirements:

- ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical field.
- Experience in hotel, restaurant, cafe, commercial kitchen, or hospitality engineering is preferred.
- Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, plumbing, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs independently.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and preventive maintenance.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
