Job Description: Identity & Access Management (IAM) Developer – Integ

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and analytical IAM Developer to join our dedicated Identity and Access Management team. In this role, you will focus on building, customizing, and automating the connections between our core identity systems and various enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has a strong developmental foundation rather than requiring deep, pre-existing product expertise. If you have solid scripting skills, a firm handle on REST APIs, and a clear understanding of directory structures, we will fully train you on our primary enterprise identity platform, IBM Security Verify (ISV).

Skill Requirements

Core Responsibilities

Identity Engineering & Custom Development: Write clean, maintainable code or scripts to automate user onboarding, offboarding, and data transformation workflows. Build custom integration connectors to bridge gaps between legacy systems and identity providers.
Directory & Schema Management: Optimize directory services across local Active Directory, LDAP, and cloud providers. Design custom schema mappings to ensure attributes flow perfectly during synchronization.
Application Integration (Training Provided): * Learn, configure, and manage standard industry federation protocols including SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SCIM for automated provisioning.
Work with senior leads to gather requirements and learn to administer the IBM Security Verify platform (SaaS portals, Application Gateways, and sync components).
Troubleshooting & Support: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve identity synchronization errors, data mismatches,



or token validation failures between target applications and core directories.
Documentation: Participate in code reviews and build robust documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical runbooks for application integrations.

Technical Requirements

Experience: Skilled background in Software or Systems Engineering with a passion for moving into Cybersecurity and modern cloud identity architecture.
Technical & Tooling Mastery (Mandatory): * Development & Scripting: Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or Bash) to write automation "glue code".
API Familiarity: Hands-on experience working with REST APIs, JSON payload structuring, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman or cURL).
Directory Systems (Mandatory): * Basic to intermediate understanding of directory structures (Active Directory, LDAP) and hybrid source data synchronization.
Data Dexterity: Strong capability in manipulating and mapping data attributes, with comfortable experience managing complex data formatting tasks (e.g., advanced Excel text manipulation).
IAM & Cloud Knowledge (Optional): * Conceptual knowledge of identity concepts (Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, Provisioning).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and how they manage user permissions.
Core Attributes: Tech-agnostic mindset, eager to learn enterprise tools, meticulously detail-oriented with data mapping, and highly collaborative.
