About the Role
Nahla Centre for Child Development is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Physiotherapist to provide assessment and therapeutic intervention for children with developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal, and physical challenges.
The Physiotherapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists, Behavioural Therapists, Special Educators, and Psychologists to support each child's overall development and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for children with developmental and physical difficulties.
- Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on assessment findings and functional needs.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve:
- Gross motor skills
- Balance and coordination
- Muscle strength and endurance
- Posture and alignment
- Mobility and functional movement
- Gait and walking patterns
- Flexibility and range of motion
- Motor planning and body awareness
- Provide therapy for children with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delay, Global Developmental Delay, Hypotonia, muscular and orthopedic conditions, and other pediatric rehabilitation needs.
- Use age-appropriate play-based and child-friendly therapeutic techniques.
- Monitor and document children's progress regularly and modify treatment plans when required.
- Conduct periodic reassessments and prepare professional progress/reassessment reports.
- Provide parents and caregivers with appropriate home-based exercise programs and guidance.
- Educate parents regarding positioning, handling, mobility, exercise, and functional activities.
- Coordinate with other professionals to ensure integrated and goal-oriented intervention.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, therapy notes, assessment reports, and treatment plans.
- Participate in case discussions, multidisciplinary meetings, and clinical reviews.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and child-centred standards of practice.
- Ensure a safe, hygienic, and supportive therapy environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognized institution.
- Valid professional registration, where applicable.
- MPT/Pediatric Physiotherapy specialization will be an added advantage.
- Experience in pediatric physiotherapy or developmental rehabilitation is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong interest in pediatric rehabilitation may also be considered.

- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Cerebral Palsy (CP)

- Hypotonia
- Gross Motor Delay
- Neurological and orthopedic conditions
- Balance, gait, posture, and coordination difficulties
