Job Summary
We are looking for a True Value Evaluator responsible for inspecting and evaluating used vehicles acquired for the Maruti Suzuki True Value business. The evaluator will assess the overall mechanical, electrical, exterior and interior condition of vehicles, determine their approximate market value, and prepare accurate evaluation reports.
The role requires valuable automobile knowledge, attention to detail, negotiation skills and the ability to coordinate with customers, sales teams, service technicians and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and evaluate used cars received from customers, exchange customers and other sources.
- Conduct detailed physical inspection of vehicles, including:
- Engine and transmission
- Suspension and steering
- Braking system
- Electrical and electronic systems
- Tyres and wheels
- Exterior body condition
- Interior condition
- Accident/damage history
- Odometer and overall vehicle condition
- Check vehicle documents such as RC, insurance, service records and ownership details.
- Identify accidental repairs, repainting, structural damage and major mechanical issues.
- Conduct test drives to assess vehicle performance and identify abnormalities.
- Estimate repair/reconditioning requirements and associated costs.
- Determine an appropriate purchase/evaluation value based on vehicle condition and market factors.
- Prepare accurate vehicle evaluation reports and update the required dealership systems.
- Coordinate with the True Value Sales, Purchase and Service teams.
- Explain the evaluation findings and valuation to customers professionally.
- Support the purchase/exchange process by providing accurate technical inputs.
- Follow up on prospective vehicle purchases and maintain proper records.
- Ensure vehicles are evaluated according to True Value inspection and quality standards.
- Assist in identifying vehicles suitable for procurement and resale.
- Maintain transparency and accuracy in vehicle assessment.
- Travel between Kottayam and Changanassery or nearby locations when required for vehicle inspection/customer visits.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of automobiles and vehicle systems.
- Ability to identify mechanical and body-related defects.
- Knowledge of used-car evaluation and valuation.
- Good observation and analytical skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to prepare reports.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Negotiation and convincing skills.
- Ability to work with sales and service teams.
- Valid driving licence and confidence in test-driving different types of vehicles.
- Willingness to travel locally for vehicle inspections.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / relevant qualification in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering ,Plus two.
- Candidates with practical automobile experience may also be considered.

Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in automobile evaluation, used-car sales/purchase, service, workshop or a similar automotive role preferred.
- Freshers are also preferrred
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
