We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Executive with strong practical knowledge of Metals & Steels. The candidate will be responsible for developing current customers, managing existing clients, understanding technical requirements, preparing quotations and generating sales.

The ideal candidate should be able to understand metal grades, specifications, dimensions, standards and applications and confidently communicate with customers regarding their material requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate new business and develop customers in the Metals & Steel industry.
- Identify potential customers through market visits, references, enquiries and networking.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing customers.
- Understand customer requirements related to grade, size, thickness, specification, quantity and application.
- Recommend suitable metals/steel products based on customer requirements.
- Prepare quotations and commercial offers.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations and pending orders.
- Negotiate prices and commercial terms and close sales.
- Coordinate with purchase, production, quality, stores and dispatch teams for smooth order execution.
- Maintain regular follow-up for payments and outstanding receivables.
- Monitor market prices, competitors and new business opportunities.
- Maintain proper records of enquiries, quotations, orders and customer interactions.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

Technical Knowledge – MUST HAVE

The candidate must have a good understanding of:

- Stainless Steel – SS 304, SS 316 and other grades
- Carbon Steel
- Alloy Steel
- Duplex & Super Duplex
- Nickel Alloys
- Inconel
- Corten / Weathering Steel
- Plates, Sheets, Pipes, Tubes, Bars, Angles, Channels, Flanges and other steel products
- Material grades, dimensions and tolerances
- Basic understanding of ASTM, ASME, DIN, EN,



BS, IS and JIS standards
- Understanding of MTC / Material Test Certificates
- Basic knowledge of material properties and applications
- Basic understanding of manufacturing, fabrication and finishing processes

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Metals & Steels

- Good commercial understanding
- Ability to understand technical requirements

Experience

2–8 years of experience in sales of Metals, Steel, Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel or related industrial products.

Candidates with experience in Stainless Steel, Duplex/Super Duplex, Nickel Alloys, Inconel, Corten Steel or industrial metal products will be preferred.

Qualification

Graduate / Diploma in any discipline.

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgy will be an added advantage.

The candidate should be technically confident enough to discuss grades, specifications, standards, sizes and applications with industrial customers and commercially strong enough to convert enquiries into profitable orders.

Knowledge of Metals & Steels is a MUST.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹31,172.16 per month
