Job Description – Videographer

Position: Videographer cum Video Editor
Location: VGP Heritage, Injambakkam, Chennai

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and skilled Videographer cum Video Editor to handle video production and editing for VGP Heritage. The candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality photos and videos of resort activities, events, food, facilities, and promotional content, and converting them into engaging videos for digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos for the resort and its various departments.
- Cover events, functions, celebrations, food promotions, guest experiences, and property activities.
- Create Reels, short-form videos, promotional videos, event highlights, and social media content.
- Handle camera, lighting, tripod, gimbal, microphone, and other video equipment.
- Edit videos with proper transitions, music, sound effects, colour correction, and subtitles.
- Create content suitable for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Management teams to understand content requirements.
- Maintain an organised library of raw footage, edited videos, photographs, and other media files.
- Ensure videos are delivered within the required timelines.
- Capture creative shots of the resort, rooms, restaurants, food, events, and guest experiences.
- Stay updated with current social media trends, video formats, and editing styles.




- Assist in photography and other creative content requirements whenever required.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of video shooting and professional video editing.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of camera settings, framing, lighting, audio, and composition.
- Ability to create engaging and trend-based social media videos.
- Basic knowledge of photography will be an advantage.
- Creative mindset with good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Good time management and ability to handle multiple projects.

Experience & Qualification

- 1–3 years of relevant experience in videography and video editing preferred.
- Diploma/Degree/Certification in Visual Communication, Film Making, Multimedia, Photography, or a related field is preferred.
- Portfolio/showreel is mandatory for evaluation.

Additional Requirements

- Willingness to cover events and shoots as per operational requirements.
- Flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and special events when required.
- Must be comfortable working in a resort/hospitality environment.
- Candidates with experience in hospitality, food, lifestyle, or event content creation will be preferred.

Salary: As per experience and skill set.
