About BAHRC The Bhaktivedanta Ayurvedic Healing Research Centre (BAHRC) is ISKCON Navi Mumbai's integrative Ayurveda, Yoga, Mantra & Wellness centre at the Glory of Maharashtra Temple, Kharghar — a 10,000 sq. ft. facility with a dedicated Yoga & Wellness Studio, offering Sunrise Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, Yogic Nidra, and Mantra Meditation as part of its daily wellness routine, alongside the Sanjeevani Yoga programme (Sunday Yoga, Saptahik Yoga, Maasik Yoga, and the 90-day Dwimandala Yoga flagship programme) and seven signature Wellness Programmes. Role Overview We are looking for an experienced, certified Yoga and Pranayama Instructor to lead group and personalised sessions across BAHRC's daily wellness schedule and its Sanjeevani Yoga programme tiers — bringing authentic, safe, and therapeutically sound practice to members, patients, and the wider community. Key Responsibilities ● Conduct daily Sunrise Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, Yogic Nidra, and Mantra Meditation sessions as part of BAHRC's Healing Dincharya (daily wellness routine). ● Lead sessions across BAHRC's Sanjeevani Yoga tiers — Sunday Yoga, Saptahik Yoga, Maasik Yoga, and the 90-day Dwimandala Yoga flagship programme — maintaining consistent quality and structure across batches. ● Design and deliver Pranayama and Yoga Aasana practice suited to a wide range of participants, from beginners and seniors to patients referred through BAHRC's Wellness Programmes (e.g., Joint Pain Management, Natural Weight Management, Mental Health). ● For medically referred participants, align sessions with the treating physician's guidance, and flag any medical restriction to the Medical Consultant/RMO before starting or modifying a practice plan. ● Ensure correct form, safe modifications, and injury prevention at all times, particularly for participants with joint, cardiac, or other medical considerations. ● Maintain attendance and session records for all group and personal yoga sessions. ● Support BAHRC's community outreach,
Sudama Seva wellness camps, and flagship events (e.g., International Yoga Day celebrations) with yoga sessions and demonstrations. ● Coordinate with the Fitness Trainer and Nutritionist to ensure an integrated approach for members enrolled across multiple wellness offerings. ● Uphold BAHRC's professional, non-sectarian, seva-oriented guest experience standards at all times. Requirements & Skills ● Certified Yoga Instructor (Yoga Certification Board/Ministry of AYUSH recognised certification, or RYT 200/500 equivalent). ● 3-5 years of skilled experience teaching Yoga and Pranayama, ideally including therapeutic or medically-informed yoga instruction. ● Strong working knowledge of Hatha/classical Yoga Aasanas, Pranayama techniques, Yogic Nidra, and meditation practice. ● Experience teaching diverse groups — including seniors, beginners, and participants with medical conditions or physical limitations — with a strong safety-first approach. ● Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and/or Marathi. ● Comfortable working in a temple-based, values-led wellness environment; participation in devotional practice is welcomed but never required. ● Willingness to work an early-morning-inclusive schedule, six days a week (Tuesday-Sunday). Terms ● This is a full-time role governed by the BAHRC HR & Operations Policy Manual, including a standard 6-month probation period, notice periods, leave entitlement, and statutory benefits applicable to full-time payroll employees. ● Compensation will be discussed at interview and confirmed in the offer letter, based on qualification and experience.
