Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Carpenter to handle carpentry, furniture repair, maintenance, and general woodwork throughout the hotel. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining guest rooms, restaurants, banquet areas, offices, public areas, doors, furniture, and other wooden fixtures.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out daily carpentry and furniture maintenance work throughout the hotel.
- Repair and maintain doors, door frames, hinges, handles, and wooden fixtures.
- Repair and maintain guest-room furniture such as beds, tables, chairs, wardrobes, desks, and cabinets.
- Handle repairs and maintenance of restaurant, banquet, lobby, and office furniture.
- Perform wood cutting, drilling, fitting, installation, and finishing work.
- Install and repair wooden panels, partitions, shelves, cupboards, and other fixtures.
- Repair damaged furniture and replace defective wooden components.
- Attend guest-room and hotel maintenance requests promptly.
- Assist with room renovation, refurbishment, and modification projects.
- Take accurate measurements and select appropriate materials for each job.
- Maintain proper finishing and appearance of all carpentry work.
- Safely operate and maintain carpentry hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain tools, equipment,



and carpentry materials in good condition.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Supervisor and other maintenance teams.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Follow hotel safety, housekeeping, and workplace procedures.
- Ensure minimum disturbance to guests while performing maintenance work.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of hotel furniture and general carpentry work.
- Skilled in wood cutting, drilling, fitting, installation, and repair.
- Knowledge of plywood, MDF, laminate, veneer, and solid wood.
- Ability to use carpentry hand tools and power tools safely.
- Valuable measurement and finishing skills.
- Ability to identify furniture defects and carry out suitable repairs.
- Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team.
- Good discipline, punctuality, and professional attitude.

Qualification & Experience

- ITI / vocational training in Carpentry is preferred.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, hospital, or commercial property.
- Candidates with strong practical carpentry skills may also be considered based on experience.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: ₹14,000 – ₹16,000 per month
