Key Responsibilities

- Conduct dental examinations and diagnose oral health conditions in children.
- Provide preventive dental care, including fluoride applications, sealants, and oral hygiene education.
- Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, pulpotomies, and stainless-steel crowns.
- Manage dental emergencies and dental trauma in pediatric patients.
- Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
- Provide early orthodontic assessment and appropriate referrals when required.
- Manage anxious or uncooperative children using appropriate behavior-management techniques.
- Provide dental treatment under sedation or general anesthesia when appropriately trained and indicated.
- Educate parents and caregivers about oral hygiene, diet, and preventive dental care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.
- Follow infection-control, safety,



and professional standards.
- Coordinate care with orthodontists, oral surgeons, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals when necessary.

Qualifications

- BDS degree from a recognized institution.
- MDS in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry / Pedodontics preferred or required depending on the position.
