Position: Head – VMC
Experience: 10 – 15 Years
Location: Bhosari MIDC, Pune

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and manage VMC operations to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
- Optimize VMC machine utilization, reduce downtime, and improve cycle times
- Manage job planning, prioritization, setup, programming, and machining workflow
- Ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, tolerances, and overall quality compliance
- Lead VMC operators, programmers, and setup technicians and monitor performance
- Drive productivity, lean practices, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Optimize cutting parameters, tooling, fixtures, and machining processes
- Monitor machine health, preventive maintenance, and breakdown rectification
- Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and ensure PPE and safety compliance
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, HR, and Finance
- Reduce tool breakage, material wastage, idle time, and optimize manpower and consumable usage
- Monitor production performance, cost, rejection, rework, and productivity metrics
- Provide VMC production data, cost analysis, and planning support to management

Qualification:

- B.Tech / B.E.



in Mechanical or Production Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical, Production Engineering, or Tool & Die
- CNC / VMC programming certifications will be an added advantage

Experience:

- 10 – 15 Years of experience in VMC machining operations
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a supervisory / managerial role
- Strong experience in VMC programming, machining operations, production planning, and team management

Skills Required:

- Strong VMC programming and machining knowledge
- Expertise in VMC machine utilization and production planning
- Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, work holding, and machining parameters
- Strong understanding of cycle time optimization and process improvement
- Knowledge of GD&T;, drawing interpretation, and dimensional inspection
- Robust understanding of ISO and quality compliance
- Leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills
- ERP and production reporting knowledge
- Strong cross-functional coordination and safety awareness
