Rainbow School, Nellore is looking for a responsible, organised, and proactive Transport In-Charge to oversee the school’s transportation operations and ensure the safe and effective movement of students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day school transport operations, including buses, routes, and schedules.
- Coordinate with bus drivers, attendants, transport vendors, and school staff.
- Ensure adherence to school transport safety protocols and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor bus routes, timings, attendance, and daily trip records.
- Coordinate student boarding and dispersal to ensure safe and smooth movement.
- Handle transport-related concerns raised by parents, students, and staff.
- Maintain records related to vehicles, drivers, attendants, permits, insurance, fitness, and other statutory documents.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspections, and breakdowns.
- Coordinate emergency response and ensure appropriate escalation of transport incidents.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure buses are clean, safe, and fit for operation.
- Support the implementation of transport policies, SOPs, and safety procedures.




- Prepare transport reports and maintain accurate documentation.

Candidate Profile

- Graduate in any discipline; relevant qualifications in transport/logistics will be an advantage.
- 3–5 years of experience in school transport, fleet management, logistics, or a similar role.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage drivers and support staff effectively.
- Good knowledge of road safety, vehicle documentation, and transport compliance.
- Comfortable handling multiple routes, schedules, and operational requirements.
- Prior experience in a school or educational institution is preferred.
