A. Position Summary
The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations, conducting risk assessments, investigating accidents, providing safety training to employees, and maintaining security protocols. The role requires proactive safety management to minimize risks and ensure a protected working environment.

B. Key Responsibilities:
1. Compliance with the Factories Act, 1948
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, 1948, and relevant state rules.
- Development & implement statutory safety guidelines and policies.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate with government authorities during inspections.
2. Risk Assessment & Safety Management
- Identify workplace hazards and implement risk control measures.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and enforce Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Implement safety measures to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all departments.
3. Safety Audits & Inspections
- Perform routine safety inspections and internal audits.
- Report and document unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper maintenance and use of fire safety equipment.
4. Accident Investigation & Reporting
- Investigate workplace accidents and near misses.
- Maintain records of accidents as per statutory requirements.
- Suggest preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
5. Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees and workers.
- Promote a safety culture by organizing safety drills, fire drills, and first-aid training.
6. Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Coordinate with fire departments and external agencies for emergency preparedness.
7. Health & Hygiene
- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with industrial hygiene standards.
- Address occupational health hazards and recommend preventive measures.
8. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain safety-related documents such as accident reports, safety policies, and audit findings.
- Prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
- Documentation of all Compliance data.
- Data Management & MIS - Provide requisite reports and inputs for review processes.
- Ensure data accuracy & analysis.
C. Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety laws, risk assessment, and emergency preparedness.
- Planning & Analytical Skills to assess and mitigate workplace risks.
- Excellent communication and training skills to engage employees effectively.
- Proficiency in safety management software and reporting tools.
D. Knowledge
- MS Office – Advance Excel, PPT, MS Word
- Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge
E. Other Information:
- Qualification: Diploma/ Degree in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or related field Certification. ADIS
- ADIS- Advance Dip. in Industrial Safety
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the same position.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
