Key Responsibilities

- Accurately assess the purity and quality of gold jewellery.
- Perform gold testing, weighing, and valuation as per company procedures.
- Identify different gold qualities and jewellery types.
- Check for stones, other metals, and possible impurities.
- Calculate the approximate gold value based on the current company gold rate.
- Explain the appraisal and valuation clearly to customers.
- Handle customer queries and support negotiation professionally.
- Ensure all appraisal details are entered correctly in the company system/app.
- Maintain accurate records of gold purchases and transactions.
- Follow company SOPs, safety procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with the Branch Manager and sales team.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and transaction information.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of gold purity and gold appraisal.
- Experience in gold testing and valuation.
- Valuable knowledge of weighing and calculation.




- Customer handling and communication skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer/app handling skills.
- Ability to work responsibly and meet branch targets.

Qualification

- Any degree / relevant gold appraisal experience preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a gold buying company, jewellery shop, pawn/gold loan company, or related field preferred.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with practical experience in used-gold buying, gold purity checking, customer handling, and negotiation will be given preference.
