Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. This opportunity is open to freshers, experienced professionals, and career gap candidates who are eager to restart or grow their careers in software testing. The selected candidate will be responsible for validating software functionality and ensuring high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review software requirements and understand functional specifications
- Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect-tracking tools
- Collaborate with development and product teams to resolve issues
- Participate in review meetings and provide testing status updates
- Maintain proper test documentation and reports
- Ensure software quality standards are met before releas
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of Software Testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC
- Knowledge of Manual Testing processes
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) is an advantage
- Basic SQL knowledge and database testing skills preferred
- Automation testing knowledge (Selenium) is a plus but not mandatory
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Education & Experience
- Any Graduate (BE / BTech / BCA / BSc / MCA or equivalent)
- 0–3 years of experience in Software Testing or a related field
- Career gap candidates are welcome to apply
- Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to work from the Chennai office
- Local candidates or those willing to relocate immediately preferred
- Immediate joiners are a plus
