- Assist the surgical team as a scrub nurse during operative procedures and maintain sterile technique throughout.
- Prepare and arrange surgical instruments, sterile supplies, sutures, implants and other OT requirements before surgery.
- Perform and maintain surgical counts of instruments, needles, sponges and swabs before, during and after the procedure.
- Maintain strict aseptic and infection prevention practices in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Anticipate the surgeon’s requirements and provide instruments and supplies promptly during surgery.
- Check the sterility, integrity and expiry of surgical instruments, packs and consumables before use.
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of the sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical specimens.
- Coordinate with the circulating nurse, surgeon,



anaesthesia team and other OT staff for smooth conduct of procedures.
- Ensure proper labelling, documentation and secure transfer of surgical specimens as per hospital policy.
- Assist in safe handling, cleaning, segregation and appropriate transfer of used instruments after the procedure.
- Report any discrepancy, contamination, equipment malfunction or patient-safety concern immediately to the OT In-charge.
- Maintain required OT records, checklists and documentation and comply with hospital policies, patient safety standards and NABH requirements.

Pay: ₹13,460.72 - ₹35,195.68 per month
