Role Description

We are seeking passionate and academically accomplished professionals for the positions of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in the Department of English. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, curriculum development, and student mentorship while contributing actively to the institution’s academic growth and quality initiatives.

The role requires a strong command over English language and literature, effective communication skills, and the ability to create an engaging and intellectually enriching learning environment for students.

Educational Qualifications

- Master’s Degree in English or a related allied subject with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade)
- UGC NET / SLET / SET qualified as per applicable regulations
- Candidates holding a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations are exempted from the NET requirement

Key Responsibilities

Academic Teaching & Learning

- Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials, seminars, and interactive classroom sessions
- Deliver engaging and outcome-oriented teaching.
- Teach subjects related to English language, literature, communication, and allied disciplines
- Promote critical thinking, analytical interpretation, and effective communication among students

Curriculum Development

- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessment strategies
- Contribute to syllabus design, curriculum enhancement,



and academic planning
- Integrate up-to-date teaching tools and experiential learning methodologies into classroom delivery

Research & Academic Contribution

- Engage actively in academic research and scholarly activities
- Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and participate in conferences, seminars, and workshops
- Support institutional research, accreditation, and academic development initiatives

Examination & Evaluation Responsibilities

- Prepare question papers, assess answer scripts, and conduct evaluations
- Participate in invigilation duties, viva-voce examinations, presentations, and academic assessments
- Ensure fair and transparent evaluation practices

Student Mentorship & Institutional Activities

- Mentor students in language enhancement, communication skills, and career development
- Guide students in academic projects, presentations, and co-curricular activities
- Assist in organizing seminars, literary events, workshops, conferences, and departmental activities
- Support NAAC/NBA accreditation processes and departmental administration

Experience Requirements

Assistant Professor

- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience

Associate Professor

- Minimum 8 years of teaching experience

Professor

- Minimum 10 years of teaching experience with significant academic contributions

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
