Job Summary

Techsol Engineers is looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Sales Engineer to join our Sales & Business Development team in Hyderabad.

The role will focus on bridging technical engineering solutions with customer requirements, developing new business opportunities and supporting revenue growth across City Gas Distribution (CGD), Oil & Gas, EPC, Process Plants and Industrial Engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new business opportunities in CGD, Oil & Gas, EPC Contracting, Process Plants, Industrial Utilities, Mechanical Contracting and MEP Infrastructure.
- Understand customer technical requirements and propose suitable engineering solutions.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations and customer meetings.
- Promote Gas Piping Products, Gas Detector Supply & Installation, Mechanical & Electrical Contracts, MEP Solutions and Industrial Utility Infrastructure.
- Prepare technical proposals, specifications, quotations and cost estimates in coordination with Engineering and Project teams.
- Act as the technical interface between customers and internal Engineering, Projects and Business Development teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with consultants, EPC companies, contractors, industrial customers and other key stakeholders.
- Follow up on enquiries, proposals and commercial discussions and support conversion of opportunities into orders.
- Maintain sales pipeline, customer interactions and opportunity status through CRM.
- Achieve assigned sales and business development targets.
- Conduct customer/site visits across Hyderabad and surrounding regions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and recent business opportunities.

Technical Requirements





- Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles.
- Knowledge of Gas Piping Systems, CGD/CNG, Industrial Utilities, Process Piping, MEP and EPC Projects will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to convert technical requirements into practical commercial solutions.

Candidate Requirements

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory
- 3–5 years of experience in Technical Sales, Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales or Business Development.
- Experience in any of the following sectors is preferred:
- City Gas Distribution
- Oil & Gas
- EPC
- Process Plants
- Industrial Utilities
- Mechanical Contracting
- Pipeline Construction
- MEP Infrastructure
- Petrochemical
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and generate business.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Experience with CRM software and sales tools.
- Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits.
