Role Purpose The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for independent credit assessment and ongoing risk management of asset finance and leasing exposures across a diverse portfolio of customers in APAC. The role supports origination, portfolio management, and funding activities, with a strong emphasis on engagement with external funders to ensure transactions, portfolios, and structures meet both internal credit standards and funder requirements.Key Responsibilities Credit Risk Assessment & Structuring Prepare clear, well-structured credit submissions for new and existing transactionsAssess customer, guarantor, and group credit risk, including cross-border group structuresEvaluate collateral and other risk mitigants, taking into account jurisdictional, legal, and enforceability considerationsProvide sound risk recommendations, including credit grading, approval conditions, structure considerations, and monitoring requirementsReview transaction structures to ensure alignment with internal credit standards and external funding requirementsAssess multi-currency exposures, guarantees, and structural risks associated with regional and cross-border transactionsPortfolio Management & Monitoring Manage and review a portfolio of asset finance and leasing exposures across APACConduct annual reviews and event-driven credit reassessmentsIdentify emerging risks and early warning indicators, and recommend proactive mitigation strategiesMonitor portfolio trends, sector developments, and customer performance to support timely risk management actionsFunder-Facing Responsibilities Act as a key credit contact for external funding partnersSupport various funding structures,
including:Sale of receivablesStructured and secured funding arrangementsPrepare funder-facing credit materials, including:Term sheetsCredit summaries and portfolio reportsTransaction-specific risk analysesResponses to funder due diligence, credit questions, and information requestsEnsure alignment between internal credit approvals and funder credit criteria, covenants, and reporting obligationsSupport ongoing funder monitoring and reporting requirements as requiredRegional & Cross-Border Expertise Apply strong understanding of Asian market asset finance and credit markets, including:Local business practicesRegulatory and legal environmentsPractical considerations relating to security, enforcement, and recoveriesSupport business expansion into current APAC countries through credit assessment and market understandingContribute insight into local commercial practices, customer risk profiles, and structural considerationsExperience in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore is viewed favourably, but is not essentialStakeholder Engagement & Credit Governance Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Treasury, Legal, and other teams across the transaction lifecycleEngage with customers as required to clarify financial performance, business models, ownership structures, and transaction detailsContribute to credit policy interpretation, enhancement, and governance initiativesProvide guidance and informal mentoring to junior credit analystsSupport consistent and disciplined credit governance across multiple jurisdictionsOther Responsibilities Support the onboarding, training and mentoring of new staff members.Contribute to team tasks, projects and ad hoc initiatives as required.Provide flexible support for broader team needs and other duties as required.
