Western India Cashew Company Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Manager – Manufacturing with a strong background in FMCG/Food Processing to lead manufacturing operations at the PTV Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring secure, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, productivity, and statutory compliance. Based on demonstrated performance, leadership capability, and business requirements, the incumbent may subsequently be entrusted with the operational responsibility of additional manufacturing units within the organization
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reporting to: Director – WICC Group
Reportes to the incumbent (PTV units):
• Manager – 3 no's • Operation Team – 25 no's
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Operations • Lead and manage end-to-end manufacturing operations of the PTV Unit. • Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, GMP, and food safety standards. • Monitor daily production plans and optimize plant efficiency. • Ensure maximum equipment utilization and manufacturing throughput.
Productivity & Cost Management • Improve productivity through continuous improvement initiatives. • Monitor and reduce manufacturing costs, wastage, rework, spillages, and process losses. • Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, utilities, and raw materials.
Quality & Compliance • Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems, Food Safety standards, GMP, HACCP, and statutory requirements. • Work closely with the Quality & Food Safety team to maintain customer and regulatory compliance. • Ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions arising from audits.
Engineering & Maintenance • Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Ensure high machine availability and minimum production downtime. • Support automation and process improvement initiatives.
Planning & Inventory • Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Warehouse, and Sales teams for smooth production flow. • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods. • Support timely dispatches to meet customer commitments.
Team Leadership • Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and manufacturing employees. • Drive employee engagement, discipline, teamwork, and accountability. • Identify training needs and build a high-performing manufacturing team.
Safety & Continuous Improvement • Promote a strong culture of safety and operational excellence. • Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Monitor operational KPIs and implement improvement plans.
Business Growth • Align manufacturing activities with organizational goals. • Build manufacturing capability to support future expansion. • Prepare the PTV Unit for scalable operations and potential integration with additional manufacturing units
General Administration • Maintain effective industrial relations by fostering positive employee relations, addressing workplace issues proactively, and ensuring compliance with Labour laws and statutory regulations. • Oversee plant administration, facilities management, etc., and other support services to ensure smooth day-to-day operations • Liaise with Government Departments and Regulatory Authorities,
such as , Local Government Bodies, and other statutory agencies to ensure timely approvals, inspections, renewals, and regulatory compliance. • Represent the organization in meetings with Government Bodies, Local Authorities, Industry Associations, and other external stakeholders whenever required. • Oversee supply coordination activities to ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, utilities, and critical services required for manufacturing operations. • Vendor management to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, timely deliveries, statutory compliance, and long-term business partnerships.

Work Experience : 8–10 years of manufacturing experience in FMCG/Food Processing/Agri Processing. Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing leadership role.
Preferred Age Criteria : 35–45 years
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in engineering Or B E / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering. .MBA (Operations) will be an added advantage
Language: English and Malayalam or Tamil , other north & south Indian languages would be additionally advantageous .
*Willingness to travel across manufacturing units. Future Scope of the Role
The selected candidate will initially lead the PTV Unit. Subject to consistent performance, leadership effectiveness, and organizational requirements, the role may be expanded to oversee additional manufacturing units across the WICC Group.
