About The Role

As an Associate Technical Architect - Data at Quantiphi, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on AWS. You will lead the architectural design, oversee end-to-end development, and ensure optimal deployment of enterprise-grade Lakehouse and data warehouse solutions. Your expertise will guide cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices in cloud data architecture. This role requires a blend of deep technical skills, strategic thinking, and leadership qualities to mentor teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver innovative data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess over 8 years of extensive experience in designing and deploying enterprise-scale data platforms on AWS. Relevant certifications such as AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional or AWS Data Engineer Associate are preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in modern data engineering tools, cloud architecture principles,



and leadership capabilities. A strong background in SQL, Spark/PySpark, Python, and Lakehouse architectures, especially with Apache Iceberg, is essential. Additionally, familiarity with AWS services like S3, EMR, Athena, Glue, Aurora PostgreSQL, Lambda, and others is required. Candidates should also have experience in designing scalable batch and streaming data pipelines, optimizing performance, and implementing best practices in security, cost management, and disaster recovery. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise data platforms on AWS, including Lakehouse solutions using Apache Iceberg.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines for batch and streaming data ingestion using AWS native services like Glue, EMR, Athena, and Lambda.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices for data modeling, performance tuning, and architecture design.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement security best practices, including IAM policies, data encryption, and network security measures.
- Design orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions to automate data processing pipelines.




- Optimize Apache Iceberg tables and Aurora PostgreSQL databases for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance data platform capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards and integrate with metadata management tools such as Collibra.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, capacity planning, and cost management strategies.
